EUROMCONTACT releases the 2021 market data report on sales of contact lenses and lens care products
The EUROMCONTACT statistics report for 2021 is now available. The statistics report covers 34 countries in 2021, in comparison to 32 countries reported in 2020.
Of the 21.7 million wearers in the 34 countries covered, 56% of them use daily disposable, 43.9% weekly/bi-weekly and monthly replacement lenses, and 0.07% conventional soft lenses. Total sales in 2021 reached 1,991 million euros – a growth of 14.3% compared to 2020, a year that was atypical due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
